i just thought it would be interesting for all of us to compare with others.
i'd particularly like to get some good answers to the last question... 
how long have you been blogging?

Hmm... Been blogging for about 4 years now, but I've had different blogs which are now all deleted because of spam and mean comments... Except the one I have here at blog.co.uk
I guess I just answered the second question. Besides blogging, I also Twitter.
I blog when I have time and find something interesting on the net. I can blog whenever. As long as I'm awake.

Get rid of spammers. Haha. I dunno. That you can blog publicly without people commenting mean things about you. And blogging about interesting stuff, not just about what you do. It's not often people are interested to hear about what you f.e. hate, have done for the day and some meaningless crap. Unless there's something or some subject you want to bring up about special things that has occured and might interest people and you can have a discussion about it!

Blogging three years. I think the blog needs to take a very hard line stance on spammers, trolls and flame wars. There is no need for big flame wars on the blog and it ruins it for everyone. There should be warnings issued when that stuff starts and I think it would help.

Stop being nasty, and sometimes, positively vicious, to other bloggers and realize that this could be a really nice community of people from all walks of life and from across the world, which, on the whole it is, but unfortunate incidents for some bloggers have turned the atmosphere rather heavy recently...a great shame, because it does affect everybody who considers those people to be amongst their friends...

first thing in the morning, evenings, weekends, middle of the night if I can't sleep - whenever really!
enjoy sharing my thoughts with others, getting other peoples thoughts and support, and meeting new people.
to make it more enjoyable? Don't make stupid changes without warning everyone first! bitchiness shouldn't be allowed. and spammers grrrrrr!

Limit the number of posts people are able to do each day to deter attention seekers; have an easier way of identifying current, non-spam bloggers; banning flame wars or preventing them from appearing in the buzz, featured blogs etc. and having a comfier computer chair.

No, only ever had a blog here.
Any old time of day..whenever I feel like it.
I enjoy it mostly.
Flame wars are unpleasant and I don't like constant use of bad language on blogs. If a swear word is in context and for emphasis then fair enough.
I know what people will say.."don't read them"...so mainly I dont.

Most of the day, I start at 8am for about half an hour while the blonde is getting ready for school then again around 10am after the gym until half 2 when I go to pick her up from school, then again while dinner is cooking and sometimes like now, for a bit in the evening - Jesus, it's no wonder i don't get anything else done!!

That is a tough question, blogging is all about your friends on here isnt it? So, if you have chosen well and get on then it is a pleasure - I suppose some way of dealing with the playground bullies immediately would be good

Get rid of spammers, Ban people from making multiple posts in the same day, as they gum up the works so it's hard to find other people's posts - I think 3 should be the maximum, so anyone who likes to post a morning, afternoon and evening post could still do so. Any more than that really isn't worth posting is it?
Spammers need to be got rid of more easily and effectively.
There should be a warning system set up whereby "nuisance bloggers" ie those who are nasty, or persist in putting rubbish and off topic comments etc could be issued with a warning to stop (details of whatever was upsetting other bloggers), and a second, stronger warning if they don't stop, which tells them that if they don't stop immediately they will be deleted, and the third would be just a message letting them know that they were being deleted as they had failed to comply with the previous warnings.

I blog therefore I am - at least have been since October 2005 (on and off depending on my mental durability).
I used to frequent political forums before that but found it to stressful due to people not agreeing with everything I said.
Make blogging a non-commercial activity (ie no selling video cameras blogs!)
