what i want to know is, is truth stranger than fiction, as the saying goes?

i ask this because i can think of several episodes in life where i have been forced to say something like:
'this is better than watching the telly'.

like people having rages in the supermarket, or slipping on banana skins, or amazing coincidences, or heartwarming stories of people being reunited after millions of years apart.

have you come across stuff like that, when you've really thought that truth is stranger than fiction?

I have an example of when truth was stranger than fiction. A guy was hitting on me at a bar on Saturday and he asked if I had a boyfriend, I said yes, then he asked where he was. "Climbing mountains in Poland" sounded like an excuse. I could've said 'not here', or 'out with his friends', or anything less interesting than climbins mountains in Poland! xx

I was twelve. We were going down the cliff path on the first day of our seaside holiday. We had literally just arrived and parked at the top of the cliff. My mother looked out over the beach below and pointed to a boy of about my age digging a sandcastle and said, "looks like you'll have someone to play with." I said "That's Charlie from East Cheam," as a sort of Hancock Joke.
Later on the beach, it turned out his name was charles and he came from Cheam.....

My whole life is full of episodes that are stranger than fiction, things happen that you really couldn't make up or put on a soap opera! i think most people's lives are full of strange, interesting events - it is what makes us unique x

    I'm sure it is... Ray says we should be on the TV when we're playing cards because my entire personality changes to something totally alien to who I am normally...can be very alarming but also very funny too...and our exchanges and other things too... GBHs...XXX
