a pair of headphones,
four coasters,
a little black notebook,
a pile of papers that need filing,
a 2008 calendar (?)
my driving licence,
an envelope full of stuff i need to work on next week,
a spare mouse (computer mouse, that is),
and the box my ipod shuffle came in (though where the shuffle is i couldn't quite say...),
oh,
and the documentation for resetting my wireless router that keeps resetting itself.

there's probably still room for a dinner service and a pack of pork pies, but i like to keep tidy.
