someone once said (and it definitely wasn't peter andre) that music is the wine that fills the cup of silence.

though there are times when i wish that some shops and cafes would leave the cup empty.
some of the stuff they play does my head in .... i used to think MFI was bad - it was like they were punishing you with muzak to make up for the fact that they were being forced to invent another sale to replace the one that hadn't finished yet.

but that is a nice saying, and i was wondering - as i floated on high over the isle of britain on my morning glide today - that ...

a) there isn't that much silence to be found these days
b) if we found some silence would we want to fill it with anything, and
c) if i wanted to celebrate a few moments peace with some music, what would i choose ...?

so today's question is ... which piece of music would you choose if you had a few moments peace to just sit back and enjoy?
