i hate anything by cliff richard - partly because i once rashly sang 'summer holiday' while driving down the M1, and within seconds my big end had gone which meant we missed our ferry and our summer holiday was up the creek, if you follow my meaning.
so if i had to pick a worst song, lots of his would be candidates - i particularly hate 'congratulations'.
but there are others - 'lady in red' could go on the shortlist.
it's difficult, some of them are so excruciatingly bad, they're good - a bit like some of the old B movies that have become classics. 'tie me kangaroo down' is a particular favourite, for example.
anyway, just thought i'd share my thinking with you.
my thoughts are as yet undeveloped but i'll let you know if and when i come up with my three worst songs of all time.
