i understand that 57 per cent of british parents (britain is an island to the north of the isle of kevin) would send their child to a private school if they could afford it. this is up from 51 per cent ten years ago.
we are meant to believe that this means private education is better.
i disagree with this, and i speak from experience.
i was educated at saint attila the hun's primary school, for which privilege my parents paid a few quid a week for my milk and school meals.
it didn't do me any good.
i was always off sick with gut ache.
private education? been there, done that.
you can keep it.
i think the survey only goes to prove that an extra six per cent of parents would rather spend their hard earned money on marks and spencer ready meals.
and rennies.

We seem to be losing faith in all our institutions...not surprising really when nothing seems to be working as it should...private schools are a dream for those 57%, I've been to them as well when I was young and can't say I didn't get a good education there, but don't have good memories of my time there with a psychotic nun at the last one who I hold a grudge against to this day...would be had up for serious abuse if she was teaching today...wicked old bag...LOL....great big hugs...XX
